Charities
The Trust does not normally fund community interest companies or other social enterprises.
Charities must be registered in the UK to be eligible for a grant.
In the education, health and social welfare categories, the Trust is more likely to fund smaller or medium-sized charities with an annual income of around £1,000,000 or less. All activities and projects must be undertaken within the UK.
In the environment category, the Trust will fund larger charities and grants will be made for overseas projects. However, the applicant and recipient charity must be registered in the UK.
Please note that usually only charities that are invited to apply will be considered for a grant.
Please send an email to info@newby-trust.org.uk if you would like to discuss making an application. Due to the number of enquiries received and limited staff time, the Trust regrets that it is only able respond to introductory emails if the Trust wishes to take the enquiry to the next stage.
The Trust does not have an application form.
The Trust makes grant payments by bank transfer.
Individuals
With effect from 1st July, 2019 the trustees delegated the management of grants for individuals to the R L Glasspool Charity Trust (Charity No. 214648). The Trust no longer accepts applications on behalf of individuals.
